I'm currently employed as a Data Scientist at Centrica Connected Home.
I'm broadly interested in how artificial intelligence technology can be applied to produce actionable insight from energy data. Specifically, my research focuses on the ways in which machine learning techniques can be used to breakdown household energy consumption data into individual appliances.
Before joining Connected Home, I completed a two year research fellowship at the University of Southampton funded by both the EPSRC and the ORCHID project. I also received my PhD and MEng in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, graduating in 2014 and 2010 respectively. During my PhD I completed an internship at at PlotWatt, an energy analytics startup based in North Carolina.
